Once the front and back pa els were finished, I cut and glued them up with the welt. The tooling was so close to the edges that I didn't want to stitch this up the sewing machine and risk marring anything. And this was too thick to hammer my stitching chisels through reliably. So, the awl it is. I used the chisels to mark the holes then plunged the awl.

New video up on YouTube! I took possession of 's hatchet last fall that once belonged to her grandfather and did a full restoration for her. It was great fun cleaning up another tool for a friend and I'm excited to see what she does with it!

Well, we did a thing. and I have been looking for property in the western UP for nearly two years now. We wanted something fairly close to our friends and family, and that it be undeveloped so we could steward the property to make it better than when we found it.

We closed last Friday on 40 acres and spent the weekend there camping and exploring.

I already know my feed is going to evolve. Much of what I make in the shop will be directed to outfitting and supporting our adventures up north. And my remaining free time will be spent up there as often as I can. There are trees to cut, trails to forge, campsites to make, and at least one tiny cabin to build. I'm sure there will be pictures of food and friends scattered in there as well.

As I go forward, I'll continue to mix business and pleasure on my IG feed, but the page will shift to only crafts and custom orders since the shop itself was always my intention with that. I'll be on YouTube more as well.

All that to say, I hope you stick around. Let me know if there's anything you'd be particularly interested in seeing!

Context: I was making a pattern for a caricature witch and made a joke about it looking thicc. It wasn't intentional, so I made another pattern that 100% was. For all the thicc witches, we (the collective world) see you and thank you. 😘

Nobody said spooky had to be scary. 👻 The wooden ghost decorations are finished, and I can finally show them to the world!

These ghosts are 7", 8", and 9" tall and can either stand up as centerpieces or hung from the wall by the hangers attached to their backs.
