It has always felt weird to wish a “Happy” Memorial Day, so we won’t do that, but we recognize the ultimate sacrifice that some service members gave. If that hits close to you and yours, we send you love 💚

But Memorial Day weekend has become synonymous with the unofficial start to summer, and with that, we hope to see you soon during our expanded hours for the season. We’ll be open Monday thru Saturday, 8-5 (with the exception of Tuesday, our only day closed this summer) and Sunday, 9-5.

Even though today we're recovering from about 6 inches of snow that fell yesterday 😲 we start our summer hours on Memorial Day! We're also expanding our days and will be open on Mondays this summer too! The only day we're closed will be Tuesday. Looking forward to a great season! ☀️💚

Hello Friends. Since we opened, we have avoided being overtly political (but with a name like Tree Huggers...). We have strived to help our local makers, businesses, and organizations as much as we can because we sincerely believe in the concept of community. Our motto has always been that the future is local, which means all of us.

It is in that same spirit that we have decided to stand in solidarity with the May 1 national strike, which urges us to bring economic activity to a halt in protest of corruption and the abuse of federal power.

Therefore, we will be closed this Friday, May 1. We ask that you take what money you might have spent at our shop on Friday and donate it to the Allenspark Food Bank. Next time you're in the shop, you can donate via their donation jar, or send your donation directly to the Food Bank, c/o The Old Gallery.

We love our alpaca wear here at THTCO! 💚We found a sweet, small family company out of Denver, Wuaman Alpaca (family name), making these beautiful light and full cushion socks out of 70% alpaca, and their indulgent slipper socks out of 80% alpaca! These would make a great Mother’s Day gift, hint/hint!
Don’t worry, for you Paka brand enthusiasts, we still have Paka socks, base layers, The Hoodie and The Original Crew. You can’t go wrong with anything alpaca!
