I had the opportunity to acquire from the estate of a collector a substantial amount of WWII militaria items. I'm told he collected from 30+ years. There are helmets, daggers, H J knives, armbands, toy (lead) soldiers, and more. I hope to get these photographed and listed soon.

THIRD REICH SOLDIERS’ HARMONICAS

At a Militaria show over the weekend, I found and worked a deal on Third Reich marked soldiers’ harmonicas. I really like these personal items. They establish a connection to the average soldier. I bought three and will sell two, keeping the one left over when the first two sell. I’m asking $200 on the brass “Condor Legion” and $175 on the two silver-colored (I assume chrome or nickel) ones. Shipping and insurance in the lower 48 are $15.

As with other German WW2 items, offending symbols have to be removed. If you want pictures that don’t have those smudged out, pm me.

Here are two nice dress sashes for Imperial Japanese Officers. The one with gold tassels was for a field grade officer, and the one with silver tassels were for a major. GERMAN / THIRD REICH RED CROSS DRESS DAGGER

A German Red Cross dagger came home with me from a recent Dallas Arms Collector’s Association show. I wasn’t planning to buy another dagger, but it was late on the last day, the seller had not done well at the show and needed some cash for his expenses.

The good: the grip isn’t cracked and is and there are no major scratches or gouges in the blade or sheath. No pitting or rust.

The less than good: there appears to have been a bubble in the celluloid when it was poured for the grip, as there is a tiny hole. Also, the pommel is a bit loose, the sheath is missing the rings, and the blade looks like it may have been cleaned or polished. Nevertheless, still a nice-looking example and a great displace piece. I need 295 for this one. Shipping and insurance for $20 to the lower 48. If you want more pictures, let me know.

US ARMY AIR FORCE AERIAL GUNNER’S GOGGLES

I found a really interesting item (actually three of them): Aerial gunners’ goggles issued to our B17, B24, B29, etc. gunners in WW2. The goggles are variable density (turn a dial and it gets lighter / darker). There are also red filters that clip over the lenses to darken further. These three sets appear unused, in the original tins, with original instructions, and two new-in-sealed-wrapper red filters.

I’m asking $100 each, plus shipping and insurance of $15 to the lower 48. If you want more pictures, please ask and I will get them to you.

FOR SALE: WW 2 Aerial Gunners' Variable Density Goggles - 3 Sets

Used by aerial gunners and anti-aircraft gunners. The googles have a turning dial on the front, allowing the gunners to alter the tint of the lens enabling them to see tracer rounds and/or track targets across the bright sky or sun, and not be easily blinded. I have three sets of these. All are in similar, very, very nice condition. Each set is in the original tin, with original instruction card, and has two un-opened red filters.
