On Juneteenth, we honor the end of slavery in the U.S.—a milestone in the ongoing struggle for Black liberation. But freedom is not just historical; it must be felt and lived each day.

That includes freedom from shame, from medical neglect, and from barriers to essential care like menstrual products and reproductive health support.

We know that Black menstruators have long faced disproportionate challenges in accessing safe, affirming, culturally competent menstrual care. Today we recommit to fighting period poverty, dismantling stigma, and centering equity in all we do. 🩸

This day is a powerful reminder that mental health is health, especially for pregnant and postpartum moms.

Here are a few simple but impactful ways you can support mamas and mamas to be:

👋🏻 Check in—a text or call can mean everything.

🦻🏽Listen without judgment—hold space, not advice.

🧺 Drop off a meal or run an errand—small things lighten the load.

📚Learn the signs of postpartum depression and anxiety.

📣 Share resources—support groups, hotlines, or local services. Don’t wait for someone to ask. Understanding we need help and how to ask is not always easy.
