Now that it's been worn by the owner, I can share pictures of my latest sewing commission. Sir Daveed Korup had an old coat he had bought in the Middle East many years ago which was threadbare, and wanted something special to wear for the 40th anniversary of his knighting.
I disassembled the old coat and repurposed the embroidery for the cuffs and stand-up collar, and used some of the striped silk for the front lining. The outer fabric was a fringed cotton bedspread he supplied. His device is primarily appliqued fabric, with the ermine spots and rose stem and leaves in fabric paint.
I think we're both pretty pleased with how it turned out 😊
