Covid rages on; life is ever changing and yet more guitarists than ever are enjoying the simple pleasure of making music. (It is, after all, the perfect pandemic pastime.) As we head into the fall and the realities of home schooling are setting in for me as a parent of two elementary aged kids, finding the best way to continue to provide the highest level of service to New Mexico's guitar players has been on my mind. With that in mind, it is with great pleasure that I am announcing that Fox Fletcher, operating as Mallory Guitars, will be joining the ABQ Guitarworks collective. Much like Dyno-Mike's Electronics and I have operated out of the shared space at 2611 Quincy for the last 11 years, Fox will be joining us to offer repair and setup services as an independent entity.
Many of you know Fox from his time working at Grandmas Music and Sound & Guitar Boy. Fox studied guitar repair at the Galloup School of Lutherie and has worked for the last several years at Collings Guitars in Austin.
Nothing is changing with ABQ Guitarworks. I will still be accepting work by appointment on Tuesday and Thursday and Dyno-Mike is still available for all of your tube amp needs. Mallory Guitars (Fox Fletcher) will now be accepting work by appointment on Wednesdays.
As always, if you would like to schedule an appointment with ABQ Guitarworks feel free to send me a FB message, call the shop or shoot me an email. If you would like to talk with Fox you can look him up here on Facebook where you will find all of the info you will need to get in touch with him.
Thanks for your years of patronage. (I am looking forward to serving all of you for MANY MORE!) Stay healthy and do what you can to keep those around you healthy and, as always, play lots of guitar!
