We are Don's Book Store, a family owned book shop located in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 50 years. Don's Book Store opened as a little tiny shop on Central across from the fairgrounds in 1970. Owner Don Pierce saw his little shop quickly outgrow the small store front in a few short months. Today, at Don's Book Store, we have over 200,000 well organized paperback and hardback books. You can recycle

your previously read books and get paperback credit. You can then choose from thousands of books and get many of those for as little as a $0.75 cents each. Even if you don't want to trade, the majority of our in store stock is 60-97% off original publisher price. We also have a selection of new books that are 25-50% off original publisher price. You can also shop on line for some of our more unusual titles using the links found on our Books page. You can order direct from us by e-mailing us at [email protected] or calling 505-268-0520. You can call anytime when you're looking for a book and we can let you know within a minute whether or not we have that book in stock. If we don't have the book in stock, we can offer a free book search. We have had terrific success in locating hard to find titles. If you are a non-profit organization and interested in benefitting from our overstocks, there is a link to the application on our Books page. You can also pick up an application at the shop during our normal business hours. As a small family business, you will appreciate the individual attention we will give you each time you visit. Well that’s a huge mistake for publishers. In the long run, publishers make more money per book, but that also equals less books purchased overall. For avid readers of say four books per week, trade paperbacks come out to 208 books at $3328.00 per year, while mass markets come out to $2080.00 per year. That is a difference of $1248.00. If you have the budget for $3328.00, you could read 332 mass markets as opposed to 208 tpbs annually. Or you could skip buying new books altogether and for 3328.00 per year you could buy 832 mass markets from us per year. Or even better build up your trade credit, and get 3328 tpbs or mmpb for $3328.00 per year. Math is hard but reading is fun!
