Hey friends! As we wrap up 2024 and embark on 2025, I want to share with you a project I’ve been working on for the last 2+ years:
At the encouragement of the generous and talented I decided to get into and practice hand-poke/machine-free tattooing at the end of 2022. That evolved from practicing on fake skin to real people to me opening my own studio in Mechanicville this past fall.
While The Grey Birch Studio isn’t gone by any means, it will just be that I will be participating in fewer markets as my “free time” (large quotations there as my full time gig is a high school art teacher and unionist). You can of course still shop The Grey Birch Studio handmade at and The Grey Birch Studio vintage pieces !
I figured today, my birthday, was a great day to share this with you all! As a child-free millennial, starting a new venture is always scary, but it won’t happen unless you do it!
I am so appreciative of your support over these years and look forward to seeing you again once market season starts again (or perhaps in the studio!).

I don’t want to be *that* person, buuuuut… Galentine’s and Valentine’s Days are just under a month away. I won’t be restocking any of these bbs beforehand, so if you’ve had your eye on a locket, stop into Fire & Ash to pick it up! (Pillow boxes are available for wrapping as well)

If lockets aren’t your thing, I have an incredible little collection of Victorian rings, and an array of some sweet earrings, ranging from demi-fine to fine-fine! If you’re not following yet, I recommend you do so for up to date hours, and what have you. You might as well also hit up and while you’re there too… ✨

SATURDAY December 16th, and I will be popping up and running shop from 10-4 ! Stop by and visit us before or after the holiday market over at the ( will be set up at the holiday market as well!!)

I have some “new” lightly restored lockets, Victorian rings, and some higher end vintage jewels sprinkled in, with gift wrapping available for any of my pieces headed home for the holidays.

will be bringing is some lovely winter florals and cozy sweaters and blazers, perfect for the holidays and snowy months ahead.

Oh yes, and we will have candy canes.

7 gold fill Victorian rings remain in sizes 4, 5.25, 5.5, 5.75, and 7. While the same design, these bbs are each unique with their own characteristics. Soon to be heading to for the holidays (unless you have your eye on one now, let me know and I can ship and gift wrap for free- just send a DM!)
I wear one on my right ring finger and also as a pinky ring for those a bit weary of the smaller sizes. The dainty nature of the ring makes it a total perfect pinky ring.

Thank you to everyone who came by today for to visit and myself! It was an awesome day in my favorite store with my favorite person and so great to see some special pieces head home for the holidays.

This was my last scheduled market/pop-up for the year, but have no fear! I left some handmade pieces with Fort Orange and my restored vintage pieces will be headed back to this week! I also have handmade pieces at home ready to be wrapped and ship if you need, just send me a dm!

Looking forward to continuing into 2024 with some more restored vintage and antique pieces and fresh handmade designs. Thank you for your support, always! 🙏🙌🫶

Happy Sunday Funday! I know I’ve been quite quiet. Between the chaos of my day job (high school art teacher) to other “perks”-of-being-human things, I haven’t had much bandwidth to work on stuff and subsequently post!

However, next Saturday (June 10th) is going to be the INAUGURAL and I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of it! It’s going to be amazing, I just know it!

We were asked to share some process photos, which are pretty difficult to take with one hand, but here are some of the steps that go into refining/finishing the components to my “Radiant Earrings”.
My pieces are created (made in Albany, NY) from vintage brass components sourced from all over (collected from everywhere).

Come visit me where I’ll be bringing my core collection and some new creations (pretty psyched to debut those!) along with some of the most talented fellow makers I have the pleasure of creating along side!!
