Congratulations are in order for Uncommon Grounds Coffee and Bagels and Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza!

Best Coffee Shop (Single Location): Uncommon Grounds at Stuyvesant "Open since mid-December 2022, the Stuyvesant Plaza Uncommon Grounds bumped its Albany sibling from the winner’s perch and so dominated the category that the real race was for second through fifth places, which were separated by only 100 or so votes. Missing from last year’s finalists after being in the running in prior years, Jacob Alejandro’s original location — moving to a larger downtown Troy space by late spring — landed securely in second place."

Best Bookstore: The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza "Capital Region readers once again showed their support for local booksellers. The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza held onto the top spot, fending off a national chain and reaffirming the area’s deep appreciation for independent shops.
