❤️A Heartfelt Thank You, Albany ❤️
I’ve written this post in my head a hundred times over the past few days, and I’m still not sure I can fully put into words what’s in my heart… but here it goes.
After over five wonderful years of business at our little store in Albany, we’ve made the very hard decision to close our doors.
This shop has been such a blessing to our family from the very first day we opened — right in the middle of a pandemic 🙃. It was the perfect thing for my mom after she retired from nursing, and the perfect home for our candles and Bryce’s hats.
We’ve loved every minute — the amazing customers, the friendships we’ve made, the support from our neighbors and landlords — truly, there isn’t a negative thing to say. Especially those who came in almost weekly, even just to visit That’s what makes this decision so difficult. But it’s the right one.
Our family businesses have grown and shifted in new directions. With Cason and his family moving back to Texas to help with Rustic Charm Candles and Double B Hat Co., we realized that keeping the store running and managing everything else was just too much. During a recent family meeting, it became clear that sometimes it’s okay to take things off our plate — and it doesn’t mean we (or I 🤪) failed. It means we’re making space for what’s next.
✨ What’s Next:
We’ll continue to offer free deliveries in Albany, and Candle Club members will still receive their monthly candles by delivery or mail with no fees or shipping charges — no changes there!
We’re also thrilled to share that Blanton Caldwell will carry a small selection of both Rustic Charm Candles and Double B Hat Co. products for our Albany friends.
🕯️ Be watching for more new scent rotations and fun new monthly drops! We have lots of exciting things planned for the months ahead.
🛍️ Closing Schedule:
We’ll begin discounting merchandise this week and will be open:
Friday & Saturday, Oct 10th–11th | 11 AM – 4 PM
and
Friday & Saturday, Oct 24th–25th | 11 AM – 4 PM
Our final day will be Saturday, October 25th.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you for supporting our family, our dreams, and our little store. This chapter has meant more to us than you’ll ever know.
