Last Resort Defensive Firearm Training When, in a defensive situation, you are out of options, are you prepared to use the last resort to defend yourself or your family?

If you must defend yourself with deadly force four things must be present and remain present throught the encounter.
1 You must believe you are in immediate threat of death or grave, serious injury
2 You must be an innocent party.
3 No other force is sufficient to end the threat
4 You must have no (reasonable) means of escape.
Reasonable in ( ) because it only applies in Stand your ground or extended castle rights states.

Why should you arm yourself? Did you know you are more likely to be in a violent encounter, than you are to have a housefire?
Unfortunately iolent encounters happen everyday, and unless you are willing and able to meet the encounter with equal or greater violence- you lose.

The Governor has indicated she will lift the Stay at Home order on May 1 ,so CPL classes will be starting soon.

Due to the Coronavirus, I have postponed my CPL classes until April 19th. I have classes schedule on April 19, May 3, and May 17th which are on Sundays. Unfortunately, my work schedule makes it very difficult to have classes on other days.

Understanding Michigan CPL laws:
Interacting with police while carrying. If you have any official interaction with the police, being pulled over for a traffic violation, Michigan law requires you to immediate disclose that you are carrying. Immediate is immediate.
Best practice: Raise both hands so the approaching officer can see them. When he/ she comes to the window state " Hello officer. I have a CPL, and I am presently carrying. My weapon is located at (insert location) with your permission I am going to retrieve my driver's license and CPL which is located at (insert Location) Then wait for instructions from the officer.
Some of the officers will tell you as long as you reach close to your weapon it is fine. Others may ask you to carefully draw, then unload the weapon. Short of surrendering it for confiscation it is best to simply obey the officer.4

Understanding the Michigan CPL laws, Where you may not carry. As discussed previously, you cannot carry into any government building. This includes the post office and its parking lot. You may not even have your firearm in your automobile while in the parking lot of the post office.
You may not carry in hospitals, establishments where the primary income is liquor sold by the glass (bars). Restaurants are ok as long as their primary income is not liquor but food. If you carry in the restaurant you may not drink alcohol.
You may not carry in private or publicly run daycares. Schools are gun-free zones, however you may have your weapon on you if you are dropping off, or picking up the kids, but you may not exit the vehicle.
You cannot carry in any business that is posted " no Fi****ms." If you do you are breaking the law, and are subject to suspension of your CPL, and a hefty fine.
