Brooks's Woodcraft Brooks' Woodcraft is just a hobby. I've done this now for about 20 years. It's a great hobby! I enjoy taking my scroll saw projects to craft fairs.

This past year because of the Corona Virus most of the craft fairs were canceled. But I'm still in the shop cutting away. If you have questions or see something you would like to buy, contact me by phone (719-588-0585) or email ([email protected]).

The Alamosa Farmers Market is back in full swing on Saturdays from 8 to 1:30. Lots of great stuff and fresh foods. Ill be there about every other week with my scrollsawn items. I hope to see you.

One of my favorite craft festivals is the Monte Vista Crane Fest! It's this weekend, Friday through Sunday. They give tours around the MV Wildlife refuge to see thousands of cranes and other wildlife.

There are about 100 booths, all with creative, hand made items, most with a crane theme. There are good food booths, too. They also bring in a group out of Albuquerque that rescues injured birds. They bring live owls, hawks and many other birds. It's fun to see them close up.

I love the cranes flying over my house in the morning and evening and I love the sound they make. They are incredible birds!

I try to cut pieces for the festival that share the beauty of these birds. Here are some pictures of what I'll have at my booth as well as some pictures of cranes in the wild (I didn't take these pictures).
