Today marks nine years of Tea and Old Roses! My first event was the celebration of my mom’s 90th birthday. I lost her four years ago, but she was the spunkiest St. Paddy’s Day baby ever and the muse for my business, as I inherited her love of china and setting a beautiful table. I’ll drink a cuppa to her memory today. 💚☘️

I recently watched the 1991 version of “Father of the Bride” for the first time in a while. I was a bridal contemporary of Annie Banks, having married that year myself! It’s fun to see the similarities of style, but I can assure you my parents did not pay $250 a head!

New things I noticed: the Spode Blue Italian Dutch jug on the Banks’ coffee table that I have in my home, and Annie’s china pattern, Spode Campanula, which is similar to my Spode Stafford Flowers set.

I think I was long before I knew that was a thing, and I love incorporating the look for my tableware rental clients.
