Trials & Treasures is toy and games store that features all your favorite toys, collectibles, games, gaming accessories, and dedicated spaces for you to play them in! We intend to carry a solid selection of HeroClix, Magic: The Gathering cards, Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons books, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh cards, dice, miniatures, and board games in addition to used games and work by local artisans

. We also have games for in-store use, two dedicated rooms for free public play, and a Members Only space for more experienced and dedicated campaigns. Trials & Treasures is an all-ages, inclusive space and welcomes everyone; we hope to see you soon!

Our Story

Trials & Treasures is a game store in the Akron/Barberton area that features all your favorite games, gaming accessories, and dedicated spaces for you to play them in! As a store, we are most known for our board game nights. Our resident expert, Nick, (also known as the “Board Game Boss of Barberton”, is a pro at finding just the right board game for any group of players, either in stock or from his personal collection, with every Monday night dedicated to helping players discover the magic behind the board game craze. You name it, someone’s probably got it.

Are board games not really your jam? Fret not, because Caleb is here to save the day. He is a master of many game systems, especially Warhammer 40k and legions of endless tabletop. Every Sunday is dedicated to casual play of Warhammer 40k, both 7th and 8th edition, and the shop is full of players who are well versed and eager to do both. Whether you just want a place to play or a quiet spot to paint, we got you covered.

Do you like a combination of tabletop and board games? Then you want to talk to Vince, who is sadly not pictured because he plays a lot of Vampire: The Masquerade and no longer reflects light. He is a pro at many forms of tabletop, and is a true Dungeon Master. Also, deckbuilders. Vince loves him some deckbuilders, and legends say he is equally astute as the Board Game Boss in that regard.

To top it all off, we carry a solid selection of HeroClix, Magic: The Gathering, Force of Will, Yu-Gi-Oh, Dicemasters, and Pokemon, as well as Pathfinder and Dungeons & Dragons books, collectibles, dice, and miniatures. We also have games for in-store use, multiple tables for groups to knock back some soda pop and play, and a large back room for bigger groups in need of a bigger table. Trials & Treasures is an all-ages, inclusive space and welcomes everyone; no matter who you are; if you want to game, we have a chair for you.
