Three years ago my dear friend, ’s mom was taken away by ovarian cancer. Patty was incredible…and so this month, my little teal toes are a daily reminder of her and so many others that lost their battle.

AND THE WINNERS ARE… major congratulations to LOUIE AWARDS winners and (under $5 card) . Paper People are the Best People rings so strongly true tonight. I was honored to be asked to judge hundreds of the thousands of cards submitted earlier this winter, I think it was. How different the times were…one of my first outings, vaccines were just available but I wasn’t in the age bracket yet…but still we safely met up at the headquarters, judged, toured and chatted. Tonight the results of those happenings in 5 hubs across the country, were broadcast via , by the . It was so incredible to see the winners, but also all of the makers/friends watching. I think these two cards grasp these times too if only for the simple common thread of “conversation.” I’m proud of all of us for talking about the hard things and changing the world so that everyone can live out their dreams. Bravo to all of the makers, and especially all of the winners 🏆

LABOR of L💗VE. The tool wall in my is finally complete. If you’ve been following along on my stories, be sure to swipe to the last pic here, for my inspiration. While ’s NYC apartment closets inspired the color choice, it was that popped in my head as I was brainstorming something to add a little depth to the space. I remembered from touring the prison, close to 20 years ago, that in the kitchen they had a wall with outlines of the knives so that they would know if any were missing. In my memory it was bigger than my shed, but thanks to google, found it was a rather small cabinet. I had to laugh at the relation of the prison wall colors to the shed - that I did NOT recall 🤣
