Mark your calendar for October 22, 2026, as Miller's hosts the 33rd Annual Virginia Miller Memorial Educational Seminar at Guy's Party Center in Akron.

This premier educational event brings together therapists, ATPs, healthcare professionals, and industry partners for a full day of continuing education, networking, and hands-on learning.

We're excited to begin announcing our speaker lineup and are especially pleased to welcome Cindi Petito, OTR/L, ATP, CAPS, CEAC, Director of VGM Live at Home. Cindi brings more than 30 years of clinical experience working with individuals with spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, neuromuscular diseases, aging adults, and complex mobility needs. Her expertise spans complex rehab technology, home accessibility, home modifications, and assistive technology.

One of the highlights of this year's seminar will be one of our first dedicated sessions focused entirely on home accessibility and home modification best practices. As more individuals choose to age in place and as clients with complex mobility needs remain active in their homes and communities, understanding the interaction between mobility equipment and the home environment has become increasingly important.

Attendees can expect practical education on evaluating accessible entrances and exits, collaborating with home access professionals, applying Universal Design principles, and understanding the benefits and limitations of solutions such as ramps, vertical platform lifts, stairlifts, and other accessibility products. The session will also explore emergency egress considerations and assessment strategies that can help therapists make more informed recommendations for their clients.

Please join us in welcoming Corey Reynolds to the Miller's team as our new Canton Rehab Manager!

Corey brings more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience from his career with the United States Navy, where he served in a variety of operational and leadership roles. Throughout his career, he has led teams and programs in clinical operations, medical supply chain management, workforce performance, compliance, recruiting, and employee relations.

He also holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy and is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, with additional certifications currently in progress.

What an incredible week at Rolling Rascals Camp!

Shout out to Miller’s team members Bobby, Tyler, and Don who had a great time volunteering at camp this week. Rolling Rascals provides individuals who use wheelchairs with a week full of fun, friendship, independence, and new experiences in an environment designed just for them.

A special thank you goes to our vendor partners, Sean Shirley and MK Battery, for their generous donation of power wheelchair batteries. Their support allowed our team to install batteries on multiple power wheelchairs, giving many campers the opportunity to experience power mobility throughout the week.

We would also like to recognize Byron and Christina for the incredible work they do each year organizing and leading Rolling Rascals Camp. Their dedication helps create lasting memories and opportunities for campers and their families.

We’re grateful to have been part of a week filled with smiles, new friendships, and unforgettable experiences.

Today June 12th we welcomed a group of Cleveland State University Occupational Therapy students to our Cleveland location for an interactive learning session focused on mobility and seating solutions.

Led by Miller’s ATP, Don Shiplett, the session provided an in-depth look at manual and power wheelchairs, complex seating systems, and the important role this equipment plays in supporting function, independence, and quality of life. Students explored key differences between mobility devices, discussed clinical decision-making strategies, and learned how proper seating and positioning can impact long-term health outcomes. They really enjoyed the test drives.

A special thank you to Don for sharing his expertise and helping educate the next generation of therapists. We wish these future therapists continued success in their studies and look forward to future opportunities to work together!
