"Open Arms Rescue of WNY is a small, grass roots type of rescue group centralized in Akron, NY. They do not have a shelter, instead they are completely foster-based to give our rescues the best chance at rehabilitation by learning to live in a home atmosphere. Their core group is comprised of all volunteer, non-paid members who have years of animal and rescue experience. Their mission is to rescue dogs of all breeds and ages from either local surrender situations or shelters to place them into loving forever homes." Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. More than 600,000 Americans die of heart disease each year. That’s one in every four deaths in this country. The term “heart disease” refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type is coronary artery disease, which can cause heart attack. Other kinds of heart disease may involve the valves in the heart, or the heart may not pump well and cause heart failure. The American Heart Association is a not-for-profit, voluntary health organization funded by private contributions. The Association's goal is to provide reliable information to the American public on prevention and treatment of heart disease and stroke.

I have chosen a red fabric with white hearts for obvious reasons. Then I have also chosen the AC/DC fabric for less obvious reasons. Growing up classic rock was always a very big part of my relationship with my dad. I remember listening to tons of Ozzy Osbourne, Guns ‘n Roses, Aerosmith, and of course AC/DC. This first week is an honor of the strongest person I know, and my hero, my dad.

Hello friends, for the upcoming holiday season is to make a special mask each week and 75% of the proceeds will go to that organization and then 25% will go towards materials to make the masks.
