Look at the sweet little visitor I had at my art table last Saturday! This was the genuine real deal…a lady bug! I haven’t seen one of those in forever. The Asian beetles had all but taken over. I’m glad to see lady bugs still exist!

What a beautiful day it was today for the Ajo Desert Festival! We couldn’t have asked for better weather...though a bit windy and cloudy at times…altogether really nice weather. If you stopped by to see what was going on…thank you and I hope you had a great time, too!

I just want to say a huge thank you to my art vendor buddies, Sue (makes miniature figurines) and John (paints personalized Ajo license plate art) for offering for me to use their tent/canopy! Their friendship and willingness to mentor new artists is so heartwarming! It was so nice to visually establish my booth presence…but also to have some nice shade from the strong sun to keep it cool and comfy.

I apologize for not keeping up with posting pictures of my latest creations. I’ll try to do that within the next few days. I’ve got some pretty fun felted bookmarks and notepads to offer…and some fun yarn and canvas magnets. Easter will soon be here and I’ll be putting together some Easter baskets loaded with fun treats any kid (or adult) would enjoy. So check back…and of course you can always visit me at the Artesian Mercado in Ajo, AZ on Saturday mornings!!!

I’m super excited this week to offer these adorable little felted cactus keychains! Each one consists of embellished felted cactus, button ‘flowers’, a cork base, and detailed painted wooden buttons. Each medallion charm is unique and individually stamped/crafted to commemorate your visit to Ajo, Arizona. What a unique souvenir for just $10 each!
