Another day, another pile of silver scraps. ✂️⚒️

A lot of people see the finished jewelry, but there’s a lot of time spent at the bench before a piece ever starts taking shape. Today was all about sawing out settings and components for upcoming pieces.

It’s not the glamorous part of silversmithing, but every cut brings the design one step closer to becoming something beautiful. I can’t wait to see these all finished and set with stone!

It’s the little victories that keep you going. 😊

Today I soldered all the embellishments onto this stick style at the same time—and everything stayed where it was supposed to! ⚒️✨

A while back, I would have soldered each piece separately and hoped for the best. Seeing techniques start to click and skills improve is one of the most rewarding parts of this craft.

Still learning every day, but I think I’m finally getting this process figured out! 💙

The little details are what bring a design to life. ✨

Today was all about making the ball embellishments for this piece. It’s one of those stages where the vision starts becoming reality, and I can finally see how everything is coming together.

There’s still work to do, but I’m excited to watch this one take shape. Stay tuned for the finished piece! 🤍⚒️

This is one of my favorite parts of the process—when an idea starts taking shape on the bench.

These pieces are still in the layout stage, but I can already picture how they’re going to look when they’re finished. It’s amazing how a few pieces of silver can turn into something completely different with a little time and patience.

I’m getting pretty excited to see these come to life. Stay tuned! ✨

Every once in a while I scroll back through old photos and find pieces that still make me smile.

These checkerboard turquoise and black earrings were made a while back, and they’re still some of my favorites. There’s just something about the bold contrast of the turquoise and black paired with sterling silver that never goes out of style.

Would you like to see me make more pieces like these? 💙🖤

I know it’s a small batch, but I’m working on getting better at batching my work at the bench. 😊

It’s easy to jump from one piece to the next, but slowing down and doing multiple settings at once should help make the process a little more efficient.

Small steps, steady progress, and a few more pieces getting closer to being finished. ✨💎

Who else is always trying to work smarter, not harder?

Well… the pumpkins didn’t get planted today 🎃😅

The “fat girls” needed new belts, and what we thought would be a quick project turned into an all-day job. That’s ranch life for you — one repair always leads to another.

At least the equipment is ready to roll for hay season now 💪🌾

Spent a few minutes back at the bench today working on jewelry before switching gears again 🌵✨

Ranch life doesn’t slow down around here — now it’s time to go plant pumpkins for the corn maze 🎃🚜 I may not get as much bench time as I’d like this time of year, but I sure can’t complain about the view or the life behind it.
