Word around town is people are NOT getting newspapers like they used to! So any decent size paper good for wrapping your fragile purchases will do!

🤩😍 Say 'Good Afternoon'! To fur-beauty Ruby with dad Lou and mama Carol. Today we are admiring Ruby's fresh from the doggie salon style! Dad could not resist bringing Ruby by to show her off...and we are so glad that he did 😄. I met Lou & Carol 3 years ago, when they first adopted Ruby. And I will say that this lit'l Schnauzer starlet is the most gentle, mellow, sweet girl. She is now about 6 1/2 yrs old. And we're so glad these folks are still customers & friends at the SPCA Thrift Store. 🐾

☔⚡💦🌞... How's everyone doing this rainy afternoon? Here's a lit'l Sunday sentiment just for fun!

💥📣5 GOOD reasons why we think thrift store shopping, "THRIFTING", is so AWESOME...

1. 🌠💵💰Getting a BARGAIN is a GREAT thing! Not only will you get a bargain, you may find better quality goods for the price vs buying brand new off of the store shelf 🥳 .

2. 🪎💎📿Unexpected TREASURES! Vintage, antique, unique ...NOT your everyday same or predictable selection. Jewelry, clothing, home decor, artwork...are ALL a must, when treasure hunting at your local thrift store 🧐.

3. ♻️🧺👖 RECYCLE & Reuse! In a world full of so much excess STUFF, why not? Who doesn't love a gently used pair of denims or a soft T-shirt? And a book by your favorite author & a unique coffee mug to go with it! Or inexpensive dining ware for...well, MULTIPLE reasons 🤔.

4.🪵🌳🪑 Refurbish & REPURPOSE! How about that old dresser on the showroom floor? Excellent quality. A lit'l beat up. Nothing that a lit'l refinishing, creative detailing, and some TLC can't fix! 😘

5. 👩🏽‍❤️‍👨🏼📚☕ Connect with other like-minded thrifters! People that enjoy "thrifting" are some of the best kinds of people. Bargain savvy and an eye for the different and/or practical. Do you have a local thrift store in your community that you enjoy going to?🤓

And at the SPCA Thrift Store, shopping with us is for an AMAZING CAUSE. You may shop... or donate, your gently used items here. The stores revenue is in support of our community's shelter animals and vet care at the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare.

Thanks so much to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare Board of Directors for sending a COOL sweet treat our way today. And thank you to Flanigan's Ice Cream for bellying up to our back loading dock with the yumminess. (The strawberry ice cream was divine 😋). How about this heat advisory? 😳🌞 Stay cool y'all. 😎

🌻🐈‍⬛🐈Good Evening Y'all! 🌼🏵️

We would LOVE for y'all to help us give a warm & loving welcome to Miss Gillette to our SPCA Thrift Store family! Gillette is a feline lit'l girl a lit'l over 1 years old. And with the prettiest tortoise shell coat, she is already a lot of PURRRSS....and love. 🥰
Gillette is a feline leukemia kitty also referred to as 'FeLV+'. It is an unfortunate chronic condition for cats, but should not hinder the love or quality of life that they deserve with us. There is a yearly vaccine as a preventative measure against the FeLV virus for unaffected cats.
For those kitties that do test positive for FeLV, their symptoms will vary from the virus. I have included in this post, a quick fact sheet outlining a lit'l bit about FeLV (feline leukemia). I hope this helps. But ALWAYS consult a veterinarian, and connect with others in the community who lovingly care for FeLV+ cats.
Miss Gillette is already a lit'l princess in our eyes🌟😻👑. She will be spoiled with plenty of love and treats 😆. Here's a few pics of our staff person Miss Nikki and one of our lead volunteers Mrs. Pam sharing purrs, affection, and social connection with our new feline foster baby. FeLV is NOT contagious to humans or dogs (or other non felines).
