His name was Marvin and I still think about him.
Marvin bought a White Oak board from us last year and each branding day I replay the conversation we had as he was paying. He was raving about all our pieces and the craftsmanship. But he had one big problem…each board was branded like you see here.
Marvin did not like that.
MARVIN: “When I get home I’m going to sand this off and then it’ll be good.”
ME: “Well, you buy it Marvin and you can do whatever you’d like to with it.”
We had a good chuckle.
It’s pretty cool that we get to add our G&P name to pieces people will have in their homes for a very long time. But who knows…maybe there’s more Marvins out there who will love ya, but don’t want to remember ya.
