🇺🇸 Memorial Day weekend is here and we are officially in FULL SWING of asparagus harvesting just in time for the holiday! 🌱

It’s also mushroom pickup day, so stop in and stock up on your favorites for the weekend — whether you’re grilling out, spending time on the water, fishing, or just relaxing with family and friends.

🌱 Spears R Us Update 🌱

We are back in the swing of harvesting asparagus! We’re not quite back to full production after the frost, but we are getting very close. Stop in and grab some fresh asparagus along with the many other fresh produce items we have available in the store!

For everyone waiting on Lion’s Mane mushrooms 🍄 — tomorrow we should get the call on what we’ll be able to get back in stock. We’ll post another update tomorrow with the mushroom haul and availability.

🍄 You all definitely surprised us this week! Our first batch of Lion’s Mane mushrooms sold out almost immediately yesterday.

We weren’t quite sure how they’d be received, so we started with a small batch to test the waters — and wow, did you all show up for them. We already have calls out to increase our order and are currently on a waiting list, hoping to get more in yet this week. Either way, we’ll absolutely be stocking up heavier for next week’s pickup.

As for asparagus, the cooler weather slowed things down a bit, but we are harvesting a little more every single day. Supply is still limited right now, but if you stop in early enough, there’s a good chance we may have some available. Feel free to call the store before making the trip if you’re looking for something specific.

🍄 While the asparagus may have hit a little setback with the weather, it’s not stopping us from keeping the farm store stocked with fresh new items!

This week on our mushroom pick-up, we decided to try something new and brought in Lion’s Mane mushrooms, along with Oyster, Shiitake, White Button, and Baby Bellas!

If you’ve never tried Lion’s Mane before, it’s known for its rich, meaty texture and mild buttery flavor — many people compare it to crab or lobster. It’s also become popular among wellness enthusiasts for its reputation in supporting focus and brain health.

One of the easiest ways to cook it is by slicing it into thick pieces and sautéing it in butter with a little garlic until the edges turn golden and crispy. It’s also great in pasta, stir fry, tacos, or even made into “crab cake” style patties.

Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 6 pm
Sunday: 10 am – 2 pm

While you stop by the store, you might even catch a glimpse of the crew out in the field checking and harvesting asparagus as we work through this stretch of weather. Thanks for continuing to support local! 🌱🍄

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans for us this week. The frost hit our asparagus again, and because of the damage, we will be out of asparagus until next week. 💚

We know many of you were looking forward to fresh asparagus for Mother’s Day weekend, and we are truly sorry if this changes your plans.

But don’t forget, we still have plenty of fresh items in the store for your Mother’s Day gatherings and gifts! Stop in and check out our:

Come on in today and see Sally she is working the store 10-6 and getting our shipment of fresh mushrooms in today along with the morals that we have. Also hydroponic tomatoes will be hitting the store shelf this afternoon with delicious English cucumbers.

Yes we are open 10-6 today. The weather wasn’t nice to us the last few nights but we had asparagus cut in the cooler before the frost. Come see Karen today and stock up, also got an assortment of fresh mushrooms in locally grown with jams and salsa and of course eggs for days; duck and chicken eggs from Ms. Karen’s very own farm.
