🧵✂️ **NEW CLASSES ARE COMING TO CREATE IT STUDIO!** ✂️🧵

We’re adding more opportunities to **learn, create, and actually use those quilting tools and techniques!**

One of our newest additions is:

⭐ **WEDNESDAY BLOCK BUILDING CLASSES — ONLY $10!** ⭐

Each Wednesday, we’ll feature an AccuQuilt Block on Board (BOB) and spend the class learning how to cut and construct that block.

For just $15, you’ll:

✂️ Bring your own pre-washed & ironed fabric
✂️ Cut enough fabric in class for approximately **8 blocks**
🧵 Learn how the block goes together
🧵 Assemble **one sample block with us** for hands-on experience
🏠 Take your remaining pre-cut pieces home to finish at your own pace

Eight blocks can make a great wall-size quilt, or you can incorporate your finished blocks into a larger quilt!

📧 No guessing how much fabric to bring! Registered participants will receive the fabric requirements and instructions by email ahead of class so you can arrive prepared and ready to cut.

These classes are designed to be an affordable way to build your quilting skills one block at a time. Pick the blocks you love, or make Wednesdays your quilting day and join us for the series! Classes go through January 2027.

And Block Building Wednesdays are just part of the new classes we're adding at Create It Studio that we will be offering at our Create it Studio Retreat House. Class size is small, only 7 students per class to ensure a great experience.

Moroccan Mosaic Lamp & Votive Workshop

Saturday September 19
9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Spend the day creating your own beautiful Moroccan-inspired mosaic lamp or votive at Create It Studio!

Choose the lamp or votive kit of your choice and join us for a hands-on workshop where I’ll guide you step-by-step through the entire process. We’ll use all of the materials included in your kit to design and complete your mosaic piece.

Class $15
Kits start at $23

During class, you’ll arrange and glue your colorful glass pieces to create your own unique design. Blow dryers will be provided to help speed up the drying process, allowing us to move on to grouting and work toward completing your project during our 9 AM–2 PM class.

IMPORTANT — KIT PURCHASED SEPARATELY

The class fee is for instruction only. Your Moroccan Mosaic Kit is NOT included in the class fee and must be purchased in advance.

Choose and purchase the lamp or votive kit you would like to make from our online store before attending class. This allows you to select the style and come put it together the way you love!

Your kit contains the materials for your project, all kits have mixed color glass, and we’ll use those supplies along with my selection of glass pieces to expand your kit if desired and I will provide instruction during the workshop.

This is a wonderful creative experience for friends, families, parents and children, or anyone looking for a fun day of making! No previous mosaic experience is necessary.

Reminder we are shifting to our new schedule in September. This is our last two weeks we will be open 7-days a week until shop hop season.

Batiks, batiks, batiks.... Sharon Thramer, our store manager, in somewhat of an unboxing frenzy. It's like Christmas came early!

Here are some of the new bolts that just came in. We even got the bigfoot batiks from Hoffman. All bolts are now available in the store, don't they look lovely on the shelf, and online.

The Spokane fire victims quilt photos of donation quilts made possible through the generous time and donations of many in sewing and finishing quilts that are a part of our Create it Studio group.

Huge thanks to Sara Goss for coordinating and Warm Co for donating 25 yards of batting. Another kudos to Laura, our employee, headed back to college in Spokane for droppn them off this weekend at the Quilting Bee and the Quilters Corner in Spokane.

I wanted to share this with you all so the donations get their spotlight and this is a good reminder that disasters come unexpectedly and these moments really help show the strength of the quilting and sewing community!

Thanks to everyone who sent thoughts, prayers, support, and quilted love to those who suffer from unexpected disaster/emergencies.

🌟 Calling All Quilters & Sewists! 🌟

We're coming together next Wednesday to help create quilts for those impacted by the Spokane-area fires, and we'd love your help.

💛 The Warm Company has generously donated a roll of batting for long-arming the quilts.

💛 Sara Goss is coordinating the sewing day on Wednesday

💛 We'll be providing fabric, workspace, and long-arm quilting services to help turn quilt tops into finished quilts for families in need.

Whether you're an experienced quilter or enjoy sewing quilt tops, every helping hand makes a difference. If you have a quilt top you'd like to donate or would like to spend a few hours sewing with us, we'd love to have you join us.

If you're interested in coming next Wednesday, please comment below so Sara can get an idea of how many people to plan for.

Let's come together as a quilting community and wrap these families in comfort, one stitch at a time. ❤️

As we all watch the devastating fires impacting communities across Washington, I'd like to help.

If you're sewing quilts, pet beds, or other handmade comfort items for fire victims and their pets, I'm happy to lend the use of my long arm quilting machine at my home so you can finish your projects. If you have basic long arm experience, you're welcome to use it. I also have a large supply of scrap fabric that I'd be glad to donate for this effort.

I'm also willing to open up the retreat house for sewing groups to come together and sew items for this cause. We have space for 8 or so sewers in the house on portable tables and it's air conditioned and nice and cool and out of the smoke.

I believe there's a quilt shop collecting finished donations. I'll see if I can find that information, or if anyone knows which shop or organization is coordinating collections, please share it in the comments.

Let's come together and help bring a little comfort to families, and their furry companions, who have lost so much. ❤️
