💵 1929 $20 Federal Reserve Bank Note (FRBN) — Boston

Basic ID
• Series: 1929
• Denomination: $20
• Type: Federal Reserve Bank Note (not a Federal Reserve Note)
• Issuing Bank: Boston, Massachusetts
• District: A
• Fr. Number: 1870-A
• Signatures: Jones / Woods
• Seal: Brown
• Serial #: A00270748A
• Grading Service: PMG
• Grade: Very Fine 25

📜 What makes 1929 FRBNs special

These were issued during the Great Depression, and they’re different from modern bills:
• Each note is tied to one specific Federal Reserve Bank
• Redeemable only at that bank (Boston in your case)
• Printed in smaller quantities than later FRNs
• Short production run (1929–1933)

That’s why collectors treat these as a distinct, scarcer category.

🏛 Why Boston matters

Among collectors:
• New York (B) = most common
• Boston (A) = mid-tier desirable
• Smaller districts (Dallas, Minneapolis, etc.) = higher premiums

Boston notes consistently sell above NY, especially when certified.

🧮 Grade context (PMG 25)

Very Fine 25 means:
• Light circulation
• Multiple folds, but no tears
• Strong design detail
• Original paper integrity

Your note has above-average eye appeal for VF.

📊 Rarity snapshot (PMG population)
• Only 19 examples graded VF25
• Majority survive either lower (raw) or higher (XF+)
• Mid-grade certified examples are uncommon

Added these 3 to my personal collection.

🏛️ Byzantine Empire – Anonymous Issue AE Follis (Class B, c. AD 1028–1042)

“Coins of the Holy Land – Sea of Galilee” NGC Certified

This bronze follis was struck nearly a thousand years ago in Constantinople, during the reign of Romanus III and Michael IV of the Byzantine Empire. It’s part of the famous “Anonymous Issue” series, where coins no longer featured the emperor’s portrait — instead, they honored Christ Pantokrator (Christ the Almighty), reflecting the deeply religious nature of the empire at the time.

🕊️ Obverse: Bust of Christ facing, holding the Gospels, surrounded by the inscription “+EMMANOVHΛ”
✝️ Reverse: Cross on three steps with the legend “IS XS BASILEU BASILE” — “Jesus Christ, King of Kings.”

NGC has certified only around 100 examples of this Class B type in total, with very few in higher grades.
This one’s part of my personal collection — a tangible piece of early medieval history and one of the earliest coins to bear a direct image of Christ.

Wrapped TXC is an ERC-20 token, which means:

It can be traded in Ethereum DeFi (Uniswap, Sushiswap, 1inch, etc.).

It can plug into wallets like MetaMask, Trust Wallet, and more.

It can be added to portfolio trackers and price aggregators (like CoinGecko, CoinMarketCap).

This moves TXC from being a native, Texas-based system to being part of the global DeFi ecosystem.
