BFI is pleased to introduce 2 products, soon on the East African market
Product 1: The BFI-BMO1 is both organic disinfectant and organic compost additive.
As organic disinfectant BFI-BMO1 is used for cleaning latrines – both pit, water-borne and treatment of sewerage systems. The fundamental difference with other existing disinfectants is 3 - fold.
• The cleaning process using BFI-BMO1 eliminates notorious smell in the latrines, sewerage lagoons and septic tanks.
• The BFI-BMO1 biodegrades the contents (also known as sludge –faecal matter, urine and any other organic matter, such as leaves, toilet paper) in the pit latrine, septic tanks and sewerage lagoons. As a result, the “life-span” of the facility is increased tremendously, saving the user/facility owner costs for frequent emptying.
• It is organic and the process is built on the family of microorganisms that exist naturally everywhere including, atmosphere, soil and their actions in the facilities mentioned above and agricultural soil improve the stability of the soil structure in terms of 4 elements of the soil within the pit of the latrine and sewerage lagoons:
o Soil permeability, [is the property of the soil to transmit water and air to pass through easily]
o Soil porosity [void spaces in the soil to allow water percolation]
o Soil aggregation of soil particles [are 'clumps' of soil particles that are held together by organic matter and organic compounds]
o Water infiltration in soil [the process by which water on the ground surface enters the soil.]
• These new soil characteristic “acquired” as a result of BFI-BMO1 application actually strengthens the pit walls. No latrine collapsing is expected unless externally induced by for example surface run off/storm water or tectonic movements.
• BFI-BMO as organic compost additive is a key component of efficient organic farm fertilizer and organic compost input. When used in making organic compost/fertilizers, it improves the soil structure as indicated in the preceding paragraph. If used in agriculture, farmer gets increased yield and crops resist attack by other infections and even no need to spend resources in chemical fertilizers.

Product 2: BFI-BMO1 as organic compost additive and used for
1. Crop fertility improvement. BFI-BMO1 can be applied to plant leaves to fortify phyllosphere microbes, to soil and compost to help improve digestion and nutrient assimilation for animals and other applications mentioned before. For any kind of imbalance, be it in the soil or digestive system, BFI-BMO1 can be of help.
 Fixation of atmospheric nitrogen in the soil
 Decomposition of organic wastes and residues
 Suppression of soil-borne pathogens
 Recycling and increased availability of plant nutrients
 Degradation of toxicants including pesticides
 Production of antibiotics and other bioactive compounds
 Production of simple organic molecules for plant uptake
 Complexation of heavy metals to limit plant uptake
 Solubilization of insoluble nutrient sources
 Production of polysaccharides to improve soil aggregation, soil structure, increase productivity and to suppress both disease and weeds

For use in the home in daily life for everyone
• The recycling of kitchen waste and turning it into valuable organic material;
• For solving all kinds of environmental problems such as water, air, and soil pollution;
• In agriculture and horticulture, fruit and flower cultivation;
• In animal husbandry and for all kinds of pets;
• In fisheries, aquariums and swimming pools;
• In personal bodily hygiene and for the prevention and treatment of health problems.
• It is a replacement for chemical detergents in homes. It helps purifying our water passage, the river and sea and protecting our environment.
1. Natural fertilizer, within four months, you convert sandy unfertile soil to very fertile soils
2. Natural pesticide
3. Unlike chemical pesticides, it is friendly to skin and environmental
4. Add to animal feeds, animal drinking water to reduce foul odour in animal farm and reduce infection
5. Laundry
6. Floor mopping
7. Mold removal and grime removal
8. Insect repellant
9. Cleaning liquids and body care
10. Fruits and vegetables wash
11. Prevents drain pipe blockage
Fruit and vegetables wash
1. Add cup of BMO2 to water,
2. wash the vegetables thoroughly
3. put the vegetables in the container
4. soak for 40 minutes
5. Washing the fruits and vegetables with BMO2 will be cleaner and free from chemicals such as pesticide residues.
Body wash
• 1 part of BMO2, 1 part of body wash and 8 parts of water
• The same applies for cleaning other products as well.
• Usage
• BMO2 as fertilisers 1 :100/500/1000
• BMO as insecticide 1:1000
• BMO as pesticide 1:100
• BMO for odour removal and air freshener dilute 200X
• As plant growth hormone, dilute 500x
• To prepare whatever household cleaning product
• User a marker and ruler to make 10 equal lines on the container as a measurement.
Wastewater treatment [Being tested and preliminary results indicate the following:
BFI-BMO2 has ability to reduce:
• 37.2% of total organic solids in wastewater,
• 38.6% of suspended organic solids
• 99% of pathogens in dairy waste activated sludge
• 60% Biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) of wastewater treatment plant and septic tanks
• 90% chemical oxygen demand (COD) and oil and grease removal of wastewater treatment plant
• 80% total dissolved solids’ removal after 7 days of treatment with dosage of BFI-BMO2.
