hers and schools an opportunity to buy all their nursery, primary, secondary and tertiary textbooks as well as stationery at a 'one stop centre. We are located outside the city center so our customers can avoid the congestion of traffic and overcrowding. The book distribution service is supported by the companyβs extensive warehousing storage facility of over 520 square meters and 2220 cubic meters, situated in Lungujja area 5 kilometers from Kampala City Centre. Among the International publishing companies whose books we stock and distribute in Uganda are: Oxford University Press, Cambridge University Press, Elsevier, World Bank Publications, AMREF, Longhorn Publishers (Uganda) Ltd, East African Educational Publishers Ltd, Kenya Literature Bureau, Jomo Kenyatta Foundation, Dreamland, NCBA etc. We stock a large variety of textbooks and educational publications from a cross section of local and international publishers. For all non-stock items, we have established contact and a system of ordering and importing these both by air and sea depending on the value of the consignment. Books ordered through the local publishers take 1 week while books ordered from overseas publishers take 3 weeks by air and up to 8 weeks by sea to be delivered to the customer. Our subsidiary company GUSTRO BOOKSHOP Limited retails books to schools, institutions, government, NGOs and to the general public, a service it has performed successfully for twenty years. The range of books available include School textbooks, Primary and Secondary Readers, Dictionaries, Atlases, Medical Books, Law Books, Reference books and World Bank Publications, etc. Through the Ministry of Education and Sports decentralization program, Gustro Limited has worked in partnership with Publishers and bookshops to consolidate and distribute instructional materials to schools in districts throughout Uganda.
