Mini-teddy-dolls appeared in my life unexpectedly, as a response to the disturbing events of spring 2020. I am very sorry for the elderly affected by COVID-19. I sincerely sympathize with those who have lost their loved ones. My mother lives with me in my house. Every day I take care, talk and watch her. Over the years, she becomes like a child. The same vulnerability and naivety in the look.
She loved and cared for me as a child, now I take care of my mother. With such thoughts, during the quarantine, my mini teddy-dolls "Old men" appeared. I think you will agree with me. The old and the little ones are very similar - they require our love, attention and care every day.
I did not use photographs of real people, so the similarities can only be accidental. I know that "Old men" will find loving families and be happy. Adopting them, you will feel strong, kind, generous.
Teddy-doll is a curious grandfather who likes to spend time reading books. Year of creation - 2020. Fully created by me. Body, torso, paws, crocheted from threads, stuffed with wool and gathered on a thread. It has 5 movable joints, so the head and limbs move. There are magnets at the feet. The face is polymer clay. Eyes - UF gel with the effect of tears. The soles and palms are also made of UF gel. Strong threads and materials were used, but tedi-dol is not intended for children to play. Tinted with oil paint. As accessories - biscuits, plate, book. Packaged in a hand-decorated plastic suitcase.
