According to the Zâtî's work, Between the Balkan States which constructed regular army system newly Bulgaria had the most powerful army. Moreover, as in the case of Montenegro, with the encouragement of national feeling a country with a small army can achieve a historic victory. The defeat of the Ottoman Empire in the First Balkan War, to which Ottomans began at a superior level compared to enemies, proves this defeat was due to political reasons. Zâtî's work has some details of Balkan geography and its demographic structure and idea of Turkish / Ottoman nationalism. Original 1/4 leather bdg. with five compartment on spine. Ottoman lettered gilt. Marblings. Large demy 8vo. (22 x 14 cm). In Ottoman script. 272 p., 1 folded plate about on of bow making (size: 35x37 cm). Hegira: 1263 = Gregorian: 1847. Flight or distance (menzil okçulugu) is a sport that instructs the shooting of an arrow as far as possible. The records, that is the farthest shots achieved were meticulously registered and included in a small number of archery treatises. These registers provide information such as the name of the archer, the distance spanned by the arrow, and the date of the exercise. Besides treatises, certain registrations ( ) record shooting ranges of note. Each 'book of menzils' is also an archery log-book for Istanbul. Kâni's book contains data for the shooting ranges and the records of its time. It also covers all the ranges shot at Istanbul Okmeydan ( ), listing the names of the ranges, the record , and the names of the , with their rankings at each particular shooting field. In introduction, Kâni began to his text with a prayer for Sultan Mahmud Khan. He narrated that he had written his book in the period of Khan and the firman, or Imperial Edict issued by Sultan Mahmud II in 1836, as a result of which Kani undertook the work. In all of one introduction, four chapters and one 'hatime', there are some compilations by Kâni from several about Turkish and Islamic archery such as Tezkiretü'r rumat by Abdullah Effendy and fourty hadiths by Abu Ayyub Ensari Halid b. Zeid. It consists of a dedication to the ruler, and the forty hadith about archery, along with other religious material. Kani also includes his own discussion on the traditions and views of archers.

It is not known when Kad?zâde Mehmed Ârif Efendi was born in Erzurum. It is also known for its "?spirî" and "Erzurumî" monikers. Kadizâde, who received his basic education in Ispir, completed the madrasah in Erzurum and received a consent. Kad?zâde, who returned to Erzurum after receiving his second conscience in Istanbul, was appointed as a professor at Sultaniye Madrasah. While he was working as a professor, he also worked as a m***i of Erzurum. Since he was a m***i in Erzurum for 15 years, he started to be mentioned with his nickname 'El-Muftî'. Kadizâde, who was a classical Ottoman scholar and promoted his works in Arabic; he wrote many treatises in the fields of qalam, fiqh, hadith, tafsir, Arabic language and sufism. His 340-leaf "Bahru'l fetâvâ" work, which he completed in 30 years and wrote the source of each fatwa, is important in terms of his scientific accumulation.

MARCEL MARCEAU [MARCEL MANGEL], (French actor and mime artist most famous for his stage persona as "Bip the Clown"), (1923-2007).

Original theater program signed 'Marcel Marceau' to a person named Julien. Demy 8vo. (22 x 15 cm). In English. [30] p., fully advertisements. Marceau's program: "Week of Sunday, May 4, 1958. Matinee Saturday, May 10. Ronald A. Wilford Associates presents Marcel Marceau and hiss partners Gilles Segal and Pierre Verry. The program will consist of pantomimes selected from the following repertoire[.]". Notes on the last pages. Marceau was a French actor and mime artist most famous for his stage persona as "Bip the Clown". He referred to mime as the "art of silence" and he performed professionally worldwide for over 60 years. As a youth, he lived in hiding and worked with the French Resistance during most of World War II, giving his first major performance to 3,000 troops after the liberation of Paris in August 1944. Following the war, he studied dramatic art and mime in Paris.
