CHAPTER 1
UNKNOWN POV
It was just like any other day…. in a seemingly average normal town where I got my ass beat up, every day, but this day was different….
Someone dressed in black and purple hoodie ran down the alley in top speed even the Flash would be impressed but not far behind was some bullies who were determined to not let their prey escape.
The prey was zapping through alleys and shortcuts like he knew this place like the back of his palm when suddenly he was jumped and tackled to the ground by one of the bullies who had come out from the side.
The bullies of mixed genders dragged their prey to the wall and slammed him hard as the hood fell off revealing a girl who grimaced in pain.
“Ow, Tyson. That hurt. Have you been taking punches lessons? You don’t hit like a girl anymore.” The girl said with a smirk on her face as the leader who happened to be a teenager with quite a big build was pi**ed off even more and decked her some blows in her stomach.
“Jinx, you have a big mouth which always put you in trouble and I am going to take care of it once and for all.” He said as he held her roughly by her cheeks staring into those daunting green eyes of hers as she replied,
“Nah, that’s what you said the last time and the last couple times. You are just jealous because I always come up with the cool comebacks.” She said smiling as her face fell to the side, her ears ringing from the slap that had come a few seconds later.
“Why don’t you shut your pie-hole first and stop acting like our punches doesn’t hurt you.” The guy who delivered the slap to her said as Jinx turned her neck to look at the new comer.
“Jake!” She said in a singsong way as she continued,
“Gee boy, I have missed you…Are you still pi**ed off I posted the video about your mum sleeping with the town’s drunk on the school net. Come on, let bygones be bygones, aren’t we all friends. One big circle of….” Her words were caught off as everyone started beating her up and kicking and punching her.
Yup, same old, same old. It never did grow old. But that was when it…happened.
“GET UP FROM THERE WORM!” A loud voice as clear as a bell said, as Jinx panicked.
“Wait, what?” She said surprised as she found out that the people who were beating her were suddenly unconscious on the floor.
“Who said that? What happened?” Jinx said a bit confused and scared as she spun around trying to find an idea about what just happened.
“RUN FOOL!” The voice said again as Jinx waited no more time as she dashed off running as fast as she could.
“THIS WAY!” The voice said again as Jinx screeched to a stop and dashed the other way.
“Great, I am following an unknown voice in my head. I am officially crazy, The voice is not real and I am just running crazy.” Jinx mumbled to herself as she stumbled across some bags of cement that was laid in front of her.
“OH, I AM VERY MUCH REAL” The voice said as it chuckled as Jinx nodded her head.
“Yup, crazy.”
As she got to the end of the alley, she runs into another ongoing fight, much bigger than the last one as these teenagers were fighting off what seemed to be cloaked villians.
“OH COME ON!” Jinx yelled exasperated to the sky not knowing what she was looking for when the voice said again.
“FIGHT!”
“No offense but I don’t know how to fight, I have never fought in my whole life, so I am just going to leave now, they seem they can handle it.” Jinx said as she turned to leave slowly but was obstructed by a cloaked villain who had popped up behind her.
“This is a big understanding, I am not part of them, join your friends over there, I am just going to leave okay.” Jinx said slowly as she wanted to run but was pulled back by the villain but the unexpected thing happened, she left go of the hoodie she was wearing and used it to give him a bicycle kick knocking him unconscious as she wore her hoodie back astonished.
“HEY! DID ANY OF YOU SEE THAT? I CAN FIGHT, I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT I CAN FIGHT!” Jinx yelled out excitedly as the voice groaned in frustration.
“LESS TALKING, MORE FIGHTING! HELP THEM! SNOW, I ORDER YOU.” The voice said a bit louder as Jinx grumbled a bit as she walked further to help them out.
“I don’t know what or who you are but there’s something called Please. You wouldn’t die if you say it, you know.And PS,my name isn’t snow. It’s Jinni.” Jinx said slowly but soon started fighting. It was as if she was a totally different person as if she became someone else. She did moves she didn’t think was possible.
Soon all the cloaked villains laid on the ground unconscious as she helped the other kids up.
“Wow, where did you learn how to fight like that.” One commented as Jinx turned to face her and replied,
“Believe me, I wish I knew.”
“She can see us…you can see us? How?” Another said as they all looked at Jinx flabbergasted.
“Um, you are all standing here, the five of you.” Jinx said slowly unsure of what the hell was going on.
“Yo, Troy. She can see us.” One of the boys said to Troy who wasn’t paying attention as he kept on trying to open a door.
“None of my business, time to go.” He said as he opened the door and a bright light shone, blinding Jinx’s eyesight a bit.
“Wait what? Don’t tell me you guys are seriously going to walk through that bright shining light. What are you all? Ghosts?” She said as a joke but her mouth dropped when they ran through it and disappeared one by one. Troy who was the last to walk through, stopped and stared at Jinx before he ran through also and the light disappeared revealing the inside of a storage unit.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” Jinx screamed out loud before collapsing to the ground unconscious.
