His perspective on Byzantine history is truly unique: he manages to look beyond time and centuries to bring that extraordinary world to life, all while staying true to historical facts.
Moreover, Powee Celdran creates outstanding illustrations for the book, which make it come alive and stand out.

One of the wonderful, in my opinion, simply magnificent new arrivals in our store is the book by Professor Matthias Egeler, ‚Elves and Fairies. A Short History of the Otherworld‘. A short book published by Yale University Press reveals the linguistic, historical, urban and other roots of the phenomenon of Elves and Fairies in the folklore of Iceland, Ireland, Germany, and England. Covering the history of the otherworld from antiquity to the 20th century, Professor Matthias Egeler finds interrelations and intersections between cultures and reflections of the otherworld in literary monuments from the legends of the ancient Celts to elves in the works of Tolkien. 1) Star Wars Storyboards
The Original Trilogy

Lucasfilm has opened its archives to present the complete storyboards for the original Star Wars trilogy—the world-changing A New Hope and its operatic sequels, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi—as well as never-before-published art from early conceptual and deleted scenes.

From the opening chase above Tatooine in A New Hope to the Battle of Endor in Jedi, this lavish book presents the visual inspiration behind now-iconic moments.

2) Star Wars Storyboards
The Prequel Trilogy

In 1997, as George Lucas worked to complete early drafts for Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, he enlisted the talents of some of the greatest storyboard artists of the modern era to illustrate conceptual storyboards that would inform the development of the final shooting script, as well as the finished film. Working from Lucas’s ideas for scenes and sequences, these artists produced beautiful drawings that helped lay the foundations for the worlds, characters, and shots of the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy. Together, these conceptual storyboards show early takes on favorite scenes; alternate, unused approaches to character designs and environments; and entirely different approaches to key moments. Like wordless comic books, they have an energy and rhythm all their own that is fascinating to explore.

This Friday, 24.10.2025 we are waiting you at 19:00 on the vernissage. There are moments in everyone’s life when we find ourselves standing on the threshold.
We enter a room, leave the house, come into life and eventually depart from it.
This exhibition is about those moments of transition.

A liminal space is a place where a person exists in a state of in-between — a passage from one condition to another.
It can be physical, like a doorstep; emotional, like the end of a relationship; or metaphorical, like a difficult decision.
The unnatural emptiness of usually crowded places evokes feelings of nostalgia, quiet sadness, and a touch of unease.
These are spaces that stir memories — and people whose traces fade away, just like an old photograph losing its color.
