Our seamsters, Pat and Dom, are truly amazing! 20 years ago, they were working in a factory in Bangkok (underpaid and overworked) when Dom realized that he had the talent to design bags himself. They moved back to Isaan and started designing and sewing independently. The amount of precise steps and expertise that go into making these bags is phenomenal... and once you've gotten a glimpse at the process involved in making bags (or really, ANY stuff), it's eye-opening to look around a mall and consider the underpaid hands that have labored many hours to produce fast fashion. Shop small, shop local, shop fair.
