𝐈𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐒: 𝐍𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬, 𝐍𝐨 𝐈𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬
The exhibition explores the significance of the iconostasis wall in Christianity, which separates those attending the ceremony from the sacred area in Eastern Christian churches. It contrasts this with the dividing line in modern times, where viewers judge the value of an artist's rigorous practice and mastery versus the creative output of AI, which can produce art with just a touch of a finger!

The exhibition features over 120 works from 8 artists, including 4 Thai artists: Kittisak Thepko, Padungsak Khiewphong, Anon Lertphoonphol, and Suwat Boontham, as well as 4 international artists: Mu Pan (an American artist of Chinese descent), Alessandro Sicioldr from Italy, Stéphane Blanquet from France, and Guy Slabbinck from Belgium.

The exhibition also features 56 works by emerging Thai artists, selected through a national competition. Curated by Wayn Traub (Director Jacq), the exhibition is free to the public until May 31, 2026, on the G floor of MOCA Museum of Contemporary Art.

"𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐈𝐥𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐫𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜" by Professor Emeritus Preecha Thaothong's Foundation. An exhibition showcasing the works of 𝑃𝑟𝑜𝑓𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑜𝑟 𝐸𝑚𝑒𝑟𝑖𝑡𝑢𝑠 𝑃𝑟𝑒𝑒𝑐ℎ𝑎 𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑛𝑔 over more than 54 years in his role as an art teacher who nurtured numerous talents, including works created and integrated in collaboration with various groups: National Artists, Outstanding Artists, Silpathorn Artists, and artists who are students of educational institutions, to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.

The exhibition is held from January 22 to March 8, 2026 at หอศิลป์สมเด็จพระนางเจ้าสิริกิติ์ พระบรมราชินีนาถ The Queen's Gallery.

Take a tour of หอศิลป์ริมน่าน or 𝗡𝗮𝗻 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 🎨, founded by Nan-based artist 𝘞𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘪 𝘗𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘱𝘰𝘰 in 2004. Situated on 13 rai of land along the Nan River, the gallery's intention was to create a learning space and showcase art, allowing people in the province and visitors to Nan to experience the beauty of both local and modern art through exhibitions presented to national standards. “𝘾𝒂𝙩𝒄𝙝 𝙩𝒉𝙚 𝙈𝒐𝙤𝒏 🌙 บ้า น จับพระจันทร์ ” This exhibition marks the first time in several decades that veteran artist '𝗖𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗣𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗮' has showcased his unique self-portrait Siamese smile. His diverse self-portraits reflect the artist's artistic and social perspectives across different eras.

The exhibition, curated by 𝘒𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘯 𝘚𝘢𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘮 and 𝘞𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘒𝘰𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘢, showcases over 140 works spanning more than 40 years by artists from museums and over 40 private collections, on display on the 8th floor of Bacc หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre) until February 15, 2026.

Explore 2 exhibitions in remembrance of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother. "𝗛𝘆𝗼𝗸𝗼 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝘁" is another contemporary art museum in Kobe that we had the opportunity to visit on this trip. It displays a collection of artworks by master Japanese artists as well as many world-renowned artists. The museum is part of the reconstruction efforts for the Osaka Bay area following the devastating 7.3 magnitude earthquake in 1995, which destroyed almost the entire city of Kobe. Legendary architect "𝗧𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗼" was commissioned to design the museum, aiming to restore the damaged area through magnificent architecture.

Take a tour of the art at the 𝗚𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗞𝘆𝗼𝘁𝗼, an open-air art museum designed by renowned Japanese architect 𝗧𝗮𝗱𝗮𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝗱𝗼. It showcases panel paintings on ceramic tiles by master artists such as 𝘔𝘪𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘰, 𝘓𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘰 𝘥𝘢 𝘝𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘪, 𝘊𝘭𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘵, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘝𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘷𝘢𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘨𝘩.

The three-story building was designed by the architect using his signature concrete structure that lies deep below street level to avoid obstructing Kyoto's beautiful landscape.

The curator team has selected works to present the story of Yayoi Kusama, from her bold emergence on the international stage in the early 1960s to the captivating works she continues to create today.

Take a look at the exhibition commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The Kobe City Museum in Hyogo Prefecture features over 60 of Van Gogh's original masterpieces from the Kröller-Müller Museum's collection. The first phase (20/SEP/2025 - 1/FEB/2026) showcases the first half of van Gogh's career, from his time in the Netherlands to his time in Arles, tracing his path to becoming the artist we all know today.

In addition, the second period, to be held in 2027, will bring works such as The Drawbridge at Arles and A Country Road in Provence at Night to Japan, digging into the latter half of Van Gogh's artistic career, from Arles to his final years. 🖼
