After the fantastic ‘Zamaan Ya Sukkar’ comp from some years ago, this is a follow up in the form of a 7” series with more outstanding tracks from the music vaults of Egypt and Lebanon. ‘Essential additions for any avid listener, DJ or collector’s shelf’, as the liner notes go. Limited and hand-numbered, and housed in the beautiful style of old company sleeves. Highly collectable and top stuff to ignite the dance floor.

This One Dee Group compilation on is a shop favorite over here. Fine pop sunda with a heavy dose of experimentation, led by Wandi Kuswandi. All of the group’s albums were commercially released as cassette tapes and on vinyl only in small numbers as promo’s for radio stations, hence rare, and making this a very welcome reissue of some of their best songs! ✨

After a series of great compilations of Thai music that introduced us to Luk Thung, Molam, and Thai Funk in recent years, Songkhla-based .records hits us with a comp from a different angle: The sound of the 80s Thai pop and disco scene, released on Bangkok’s Golden Sound label. 10 killer tracks, beautiful sleeve, and comes with a cool insert with extensive liner notes and pictures.
