Sister Gratitude Post ❤️✨

A heartfelt thank you to Sister E founder of The Calabash Hub for her incredible support in helping me host my first Ghana tour 🇬🇭

We connected back in 2022, and what started as a shared love and synergy for the African continent has grown into a genuine friendship and collaboration.

I wanted this tour to reflect Ghana through my lens — a real homecoming. Something deeper than travel, rooted in culture, connection and belonging. And Sister E, you truly helped bring that vision to life.

It didn’t come without its hitches, but your ability to adapt, support and show up with calm and care made all the difference.

What we created was powerful… a true homecoming ❤️

Also, for anyone interested, Sister E hosts her own tours annually — the next one is November 2026 with limited spaces available 👀

Reflecting on the start of the week… and now the end of what’s been an incredible journey touring Ghana 🇬🇭✨

What a week it’s been — full of movement, connection, laughter, and moments that will stay with us.

At this point, I feel fully affiliated with the airport 😄✈️
I’ve been there 8 times this week… welcoming guests, sending them off, and doing it all over again.

But one moment that truly topped the charts — welcoming Jamaican legend Oliver Samuels to Ghana for the first time 🇯🇲🤝🏾🇬🇭

Welcomed by the Ghanaian Caribbean Association and the Marcus Mosiah Garvey Foundation — a powerful moment of diaspora connection and legacy.

That energy, that connection… unforgettable.

Grateful for every part of this journey 🤎
From the first arrival to the final farewell.

Jamaica meets Ghana 🇯🇲🤝🏾🇬🇭

Spending time with Jamaican legend Oliver Samuels as we explored the beauty of the Aburi Botanical Gardens 🌿✨

What a whirlwind of a week hosting him here in Ghana for his first visit — and I’m sure it won’t be his last.

It’s been nothing but pure jokes, laughter, and good energy from start to finish 😄🔥
(He even tried his best with my Yorkshire accent… we’ll give him an A for effort 😄)

Moments like this… culture, connection, and joy all in one.

A week on, and I’m still reflecting on the energy in the room.

Sharing a few moments captured from Women Wear Their Stories, where women from across Leeds gathered to celebrate International Women’s Day through conversation, storytelling and community.

What stayed with me most was the atmosphere — women connecting, sharing openly and supporting one another.

Moments like this are a reminder of how powerful it is when women gather with intention and create space for each other’s stories.

✨ Happy International Women’s Day ✨

I’ve been reflecting on this week with a lot of gratitude.

Through Women Wear Their Stories, we brought together over 130 women from across Leeds across two gatherings to connect, reflect and celebrate.

From our lunchtime conversation at Unity Media Centre to our evening gathering at Moortown Social Club, the week was filled with powerful stories, warmth and connection.

These spaces were created for grassroots community women whose voices are not always heard, and it was beautiful to see women gather with openness and support for one another.

Women Wear Their Stories — and every story matters.
