Full-bodied with creamy, nutty characteristics and an extremely long finish create a rich, complex roussanne with an exotic mix of fruit and spice, good acidity and a luxurious finish. The freshness of the fruit provides hints of melon and the barrel aging has created vanilla notes and a smoky richness. We suggest drinking this wine with creamy chicken or pasta dishes and with seafood.
Le Marin Blanc, 2012- Roussanne / Marsanne / Viognier ($32)
A nose of white melon, pear drops and sweet vanilla, good acidity and balance up front followed by rich, caramel flavours and a glycerol-smooth finish. Enjoy with or without food.

Derniers Cepages, 2011 - Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah (Oak Aged) ($35)
A blend of concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon and silky, smooth Syrah gives this wonderful wine a deep, dark brick red colour, and is a prime example of the flavour and quality of fruit that can be achieved using a combination of meticulous viticulture and exposure to lots of sunshine. A wonderfully powerful and complex mix of jammy, black fruit, peppermint and spice, expressive and long with smooth, round tannins and well-integrated oak. The fruit flavours of blackberry and plum are combined with spicy black pepper, suggested matching of roast beef or lamb, with a barbecue or with strong cheese. Suitable for laying down - drink by 2015!
Preignes Collection, 2009, 12.5% Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot / Petit Verdot ($50)
Rich and fruity with the backbone of a well balanced structure, this blend offers the pleasant experience of a developed body and the velvety feeling of sweet and mature tannins. Great with hearty stews, stir fried beef and mature cheese.
Le Pinacle, 2011 - Syrah (Oak Aged) ($55)
Opaque, almost black red, Le Pinacle or 'the pinnacle' is the highest point of the tower on the Chateau at Domaine Sainte Rose thus, symbolically, this superbly structured Syrah is the top of their red wine range. The wine is made in the Cotes Rotie style of the Rhone Valley thus the Syrah was co-fermented with 5% of the white grape variety Viognier. After gentle extraction and pressing, this wine spent twelve months aging in French oak barrels. Magnificently rich plum jam and liquorice aromas with hints of dark chocolate, lead to big, expressive and intense flavours. Black fruit dominates but is combined with mocha and coffee., which provides a round, smooth finish. Lay down until 2018 and let follow the progress of the wine as it mellows with age.
