Being in your twenties, there’s many hurdles to undertake for starting a business. The most common, age, an assumption that you lack life experience. The truth is, you can live 50 years and never truly live, time is not the only exploration of life.
For many, it’s a skill that has led them here, an ability to do something spontaneous, passionate and joyful in their life. For those businesses the transition to being self-enabling, I would suggest is the hardest, but I believe all those self-employed experience it too, on various levels.
When you have a skill, but are not financially minded, leadership or management experienced where do you start? You understand the next step involves a lot of investment in time and possibly money, staff or support and so for many people, staying small and manageable is the only foreseeable option. I want to be able to open that door for people and support a small business that could be a diamond if only allowed to shine. Everyone has to start somewhere, and that first step is the hardest; but they’ve done it once by opening a business and so the second step should also create fear and excitement, butterflies, 🦋 a rush of ambition and adrenaline! Life experience; exploration.
For me, I have stabilised my baking business that I intend to grow slowly and steadily. I’ve just accepted a role to better myself by going into Digital Marketing for a small business with great ambition. I’ll meet new people, new ideas and new experiences. A millennials work is never done, we’ve got access to so much of the world that it’s never been easier to manage and create your own dreams and pave your own paths. For some, considering a pop-up influence movement alongside the rest of my career seems crazy but like many small business owners I’m thirsty for more in life, more challenges, more positively and more good. The universe has its ways, and I strongly believe that for every failure I’ve learnt a lesson and that’s only made me stronger and fight harder to learn more to be more.
I want to share that with all those who at passionate, to make them believe that the universe has their back.
Right now I pinch myself that I’m sky high flying to the most beautiful picturesque place I have seen, living my best life by living life to the fullest, regardless of the workload that lies ahead. I’m surprised to be treated with a rose gold glass of bubbly while writing about being able to help someone else dreams; all the while I feel mine might be falling into place simply by opening the door to the possibilities.
Cheers to the dreamers, this ones for you.
