Nitro engine low speed needle too lean

Characterized by engine rpm dropping down to idle and creeping up without throttle inputs.

Demonstration of a very rich low speed needle tune 😀

The engine loads up under acceleration quite badly.

When we release the throttle, rpm drops nicely but it stays at a higher stable idle for a good while before gradually slowing down again to the lowest idle.
If we let it idle longer, engine will eventually stall due to fuel mixture loading up in the crankcase.

Overall still rich on tune, settling down into a stable idle without drama, fuel not jumping out of the tank 😆

The rich tune during engine run-in tends to get the carburetor body cool enough to result in condensation from the warmer environment.

The wet areas on the crankcase are water droplets dripping down from the carb body.

We use our test rig w wheels, clutch sets and pipes whenever we are tasked to run in engines for our customers. This way we can avoid staining customer's brand new exhausts 😁
