ATAS is coming to their fifth birthday with their own specified artist statement. ⁠

‘A.T.A.S.’ is a pseudonym of a visual artist, an illustrator, and a media designer. Since its inception in the Spring of 2017, the group has been anonymously making quirky artworks that touch on cultural and social commentaries with a unique Asian aesthetic ethos.⁠
Unconstrained by conventions nor fixated with any particular styles, A.T.A.S. experiments with a wide variety of techniques to create art. It empirically explores the line between ‘low’ and ‘high’ art, and assays various designs and media.⁠
Using the confrontations between subjects and relations of a visual dissection, A.T.A.S. attempts to address various crises of contemporary society such as Materialism, High-Tech Consumerism, and Post Modernism Identities.⁠

We are on cloud nine to be a part of GALLERY LIGHT UP event celebrating Birthday of Singapore. The artworks will be projected on National Gallery Singappre canopy from 24 July to 30 August, 7pm to 12pm daily!

The artworks is ATAS reinterpretation of Georgette Chen's still life, introducing graphic flat rendition to what is a widely recognised masterpiece.
