A trip down memory lane... and a new adventure.

This weekend, from 13 to 16 August, Nora Creation will be at Kampung Elektrik Festival at Katong Square.

I decided to join Kampung Elektrik because I wanted to try something different and step out of my usual comfort zone. What made it even more meaningful is the location.

Katong was a place I spent a lot of time in during my teenage years. More than 30 years later, I'm back. Walking around the area brings back memories. Katong Shopping Centre and Roxy Square are still standing, but the landscape around them has changed tremendously. Despite all the changes, the area has kept its unique charm and community spirit. In fact, I really enjoy the atmosphere here.

Kampung Elektrik is all about celebrating creativity, community, and local makers. In addition to a curated marketplace featuring independent creators, there will be live music, workshops, fitness activities, and art experiences throughout the festival.

I'll be there with my usual handcrafted pieces, along with some new items, including my latest wrap-around skirts.

I'm also excited to share that on Friday, I'll be joining a panel discussion on stage to talk about sustainability, repurposing, and giving materials a second life, a topic that is very close to my heart and the philosophy behind Nora Creation.

🌸 Nora's Creation Has Arrived at Junction 8! from Monday 27th July till 2nd August 🌸

A new place, a fresh setup, and some exciting additions to the Nora's Creation family!

I'm delighted to welcome everyone to my new booth at Junction 8, where you'll find the handcrafted pieces that many of you have come to know and love, along with several new creations designed with both beauty and practicality in mind.

✨ New to the collection:

[1] Adjustable Bag Straps – because comfort and versatility matter.

[2] Schrocies – my handcrafted fabric scrunchies that add a touch of colour and charm to everyday life.

[3] And of course, my signature creation, the Leftist Bag.

Now, before anyone raises an eyebrow, the "Leftist Bag" has nothing to do with politics! 😊

The name comes from leftover fabric scraps. Instead of letting beautiful fabric remnants go to waste, I carefully piece them together into functional, one-of-a-kind bags. Every Leftist Bag is a small statement about creativity, sustainability, and giving materials a second chance at being useful and beautiful.

♻️ What was once left over now has a new purpose.

Every item at Nora's Creation is handmade with care, combining practicality with personality. No two pieces are exactly alike, which makes each one uniquely yours.
