Though the line up was abit messy after the departure of Fernanda Lira (vocals/bass) and Luana Dametto (drums) are the two former Nervosa members who left the band in 2020 to form the death metal group Crypta. Both musicians were long-term members of the Brazilian thrash band, with Lira leaving after a ten-year tenure to pursue a different musical direction.
As of the release of their sixth album Slave Machine on April 3, 2026, Nervosa has solidified a new lineup following several member changes in early 2024.
Key Member Changes for Slave Machine (2026):
Return of Michaela Naydenova (Drums): Michaela Naydenova returned to the band to record Slave Machine after having departed in January 2024 and being briefly replaced by Gabriela Abud.
Addition of Emmelie Herwegh (Bass): Emmelie Herwegh (formerly of Sisters of Suffocation) was made an official member to share bass duties with Hel Pyre, who often splits touring duties due to other commitments.
Prika Amaral (Vocals/Guitar): Founding member Prika Amaral continues as the lead vocalist and guitarist, a role she took over starting with the 2023 album Jailbreak.
Helena Kotina (Guitar): Remains in the band as the second guitarist.
Current Slave Machine Lineup:
Prika Amaral: Vocals & Guitars
Helena Kotina: Guitars
Hel Pyre: Bass
Emmelie Herwegh: Bass (Official member as of 2025/2026)
Michaela Naydenova: Drums
The band, which often faced high turnover, aimed to stabilize the lineup with this, their second consecutive album featuring a similar core, following a period where they used multiple substitute musicians in 2024.
