Lars Berglund, an artist born 1946 in Gothenburg, Sweden, embarked on a lifelong quest to develop his artistic talent. Inspired by his mother's artistic legacy, he began traveling the world in his early twenties, seeking greater self-expression and artistic truth. Early Influences and Artistic Exploration
Berglund found inspiration in old art

, particularly the techniques employed by artists from the 18th century. Studied art history at Stockholm University. Eager to learn from the masters, he travelled to Florence, Rome, Paris, and Amsterdam. His studies culminated in shorter periods of intense learning at the Stockholm Art Academy "Konstfack" between 1969 to 1973. Diverse Artistic Endeavours
Berglund's artistic evolution continued as he delved into different mediums. In the 1980s, he worked with graphic prints and collaborated with leading Swedish artists. During this time, he also owned "Meteorförlaget Ab," a fine art publisher specializing in lithographic prints. In the 1990s, Berglund transitioned to acrylic paints on canvas. His style at the time was "neo-realistic," drawing inspiration from artists like Howard Kanovitz and Robert Bevan. Acrylic paintings and marble sculptures
Between 2002 and 2004, Lars studied marble sculptures at the Malta Academy of Arts. From 2004 until today, sculptures in marble were his favorite medium. There his talent reached a very high level, recognized by art lovers all over the world. besides sculptures, acrylic paintings have always been a basis for his creativity. Inspired by artists such as Perez and Vettriano, who advocated a new style called "Neo Emotional", Berglund embraced this dramatic storytelling.
