Thank you for coming to MADE IN NIHON’s very first pop-up store in Gothenburg, Sweden 🇸🇪 We were very happy to brought these Japanese techniques to Gothenburg and to share with you.

We were also very happy to see that so many of you came to see MADE IN NIHON after seeing our social media or online site. And we hope this pop-up was an opportunity for people to learn a bit about these wonderful true spirits of Japanese artistry and products.

An art panel that pays homage to the works of Ohara Koson, a legendary painter from Kanazawa City.

KOSON - Lotus and sparrow
 This piece can be regarded as Koson's quintessential 'flower and bird painting.' With a focus on a splendid reddish, plump lotus flower and the graceful gradation of leaves, it captures the essence of his artistic prowess. Sparrows, a favorite motif of Koson, add a touch of natural charm to this masterpiece. At HAKUICHI, we were inspired by Koson's work and paid homage to his foil art. While expressing the lively appearance of the animals, the foil background brings out a new charm. Converted to a strip-like size, it creates a modern atmosphere that matches contemporary interiors.
