Jamida (pronounced Ya-mee-da) was established in 2014 by Joakim Sohlberg on the picturesque Swedish island of Öland. Joakim has many years of experience working in the Scandinavian home wares industry specialising in manufacturing, sales and product development. We are passionate about creating beauti

ful and practical home products with exclusive patterns in top quality materials. Our products feature designs from the following artists:

Michael Angove: exquisitely detailed tromp l’oeil drawings and botanical chinoiserie patterns

Asta Barrington: intricate filigree patterns of fantastical flora and fauna

Bessie Johanson: colourful naïve narrative paintings that celebrate life

Behind the Design
Enter a jungle dreamscape inspired by Emma’s travels in the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. An enigmatic puma stands centre-stage, surrounded by other fantastical creatures of the forest, including macaws, monkeys, sloths, ocelots and more. Other influences include Pre-Raphaelite paintings, mid-19th century Arts and Crafts movement textiles, and Edward Lear illustrations.
