Just when I thought I was nearly done cataloguing all the stock, I have come into about 200 more books! I am so incredibly grateful; I have stocked up on mulled wine to keeping me going. They were saved from simply being thrown in a skip, and I hope you will be able to help me give them a second life.

So yesterday I spent about seven hours photographing every book I have acquired over the past year for the shop. I did not realise just how many I had collected! However, now that it is all done, I can start putting together a website, as well as having a better idea what is in my stock.

There is a really good mix of new and secondhand, which is exactly what I wanted. There are also a lot of books I would have liked to keep for myself..! 📚📚

Today I bought my bookshop!🎉

Not exactly conventional, I admit, and not exactly how I expected it to be, but a bookshop nonetheless. After months of difficulties with trying to find a property for Heritage Bridge Books, I have decided to take matters into my own hands and make my own!

As you can imagine, the first few months will be converting and renovating this vintage horse trailer before we get to any events or markets. I’ll be sharing the progress on here, and I can’t wait to get started!
