🇬🇧 We Actually Did It 🚗🇷🇴

On 10 August 2025, we left the UK and began a 4-day road trip across Europe to start a completely new life in Romania.

There was excitement, exhaustion, “Ow-sfar” 😂, sleeping in the car, a closed hotel, the Romanian border and, finally, our first glimpse of Pribești.

We thought getting there was the hard part.

We were wrong. 😂
This is Part 1 of our journey back to where it all began.

After a stay in hospital, this was the welcome I received when I finally came home... ❤️🐶

Moving to Iași was an exciting new adventure... but the reality wasn't always what we expected! 🇷🇴

From moving into an almost empty flat and helping Lady adjust to apartment life, to getting hopelessly lost, celebrating a very simple birthday and Christmas, and finally watching the first snow begin to fall—our first few months were full of challenges, laughter and memories we'll never forget.

The country living journey gets real. In Episode 3, winter arrives in Pribești with a vengeance. Our car breaks down completely, leaving us stranded without transport. Watch the raw, honest, and comical realities of surviving the cold—from chopping our own wood to sleeping fully dressed under piles of blankets, and how the amazing village community kept our spirits high. 🇷🇴 BINGE "OUR ROMANIAN JOURNEY" FROM THE VERY BEGINNING! 🧳👜🐾

From driving 4 days straight from the UK to Romania, to surviving a countryside house with no running water and zero fire-lighting skills... it has been one wild ride! 🪵❄️

After our trusty car officially died in October, we found ourselves stranded in the rural cold, unable to speak the language, with Sorin working away during the week. So, we made a crazy decision. In the freezing November dark, we packed our entire lives into 3 massive suitcases and moved to the city of Iași with no wheels, and our Chiweenie, Lady, tucked into a handbag! 🏙️❤️
