This year, .qa & Cairopolitan] have partnered up to bring together 300+ prints designed by 115 artists from 12 different Arab countries all
under one roof in Studio 7.
For the period of an entire month, the exhibition will display a curated collection of prints following studio 7's mission to identify, promote and celebrate talented artists from Qatar
and the wider Arab world.
For the past 4 years, Cairopolitan] became a key player in this extraordinary scene with the biggest
collection of prints in Egypt.
Taking this to the next level, a partnership was born between Studio 7 in Qatar and Cairopolitan in Egypt, launching the first edition of Doha Prints to be exhibited alongside the
selection of prints displayed in the third edition of Cairo Prints.
As a result, we were able to reach out to the biggest number possible of artists and designers from all over the Arab world. Our focus was on those who rely heavily on social media to showcase their work so that we can be able to provide them with a physical space where their work could be seen and appreciated by print l collectors, enthusiasts, or even passersby. Eventually, we were able to curate an expanded collection designed by different and successive generations of artists and designers who come from completely diverse backgrounds, cultures, and cities.
