This was not a conference. This was the most elegant, most generous, most unexpectedly fun professional gathering I've attended this year, and I'm including the ones with open bars in that assessment.
VCs and founders. Same room. Relaxed. Fed. Dancing.
Nobody warned me it would be like this. Next year I am coming back more prepared!
Thank you Matej Rus for selecting LemonsLemons and for running something this genuinely good.

Maribor wins the race with PODIM by far on my radar for 2026. I could not recommend it more.

I told a room full of product people that product-market fit is BS and I could feel the room collectively close a Jira ticket in my honour.
I continued anyway.
I told them people don't adopt good products. They adopt products other people are already using. Cuneiform was more precise than the alphabet you're reading this in right now. Nobody uses it anymore.
Then someone asked me about AI.
I said it's a toy for now.
Here's the thing about product in 2026. Everyone is building. Nobody is distributing. Everyone is optimising. Nobody is asking why. Everyone has a roadmap. Nobody has a reason.
We are the most sophisticated we have ever been at solving problems nobody has.
Nobody stopped me.
That's on them.
They gave me a microphone and everything.

I’ve built businesses in almost every sector.
Then I spent a year breaking down how digital ones actually work.

Here’s what most people still don’t get:

In 2026, the most expensive asset isn’t what you sell.
It’s the attention you can consistently pull.

A niche audience is leverage.
Everything else is noise.

It’s time to monetize yours.

I spent years building businesses in every imaginable sector.

I spent last year analysing digital businesses.

I am now convinced the most exoensive asset to hold in 2026 is the gravitaional pull of the attention of a niche audience.

AI is turning thinking into luxury and the attention of real trusted audiences into a gold mine.

Every successful business today starts with audience first then product. Doing the opposite is pi***ng against the wind.

The real flex now is monetizing and scaling your audience.

Meanwhile the real boss level is building and monetizing an audience.

Owning an audience is the new real estate.

Rent it, sell it, scale it...
When everything physical feels so fragile and under attack, when the digital space is completely shaken by AI... Attention becomes a super valuable asset.

Where are you building? On social media? Linkedin? Telegram? Whatsapp? IRL?

Today having a faithful group of people who find value in listening to you speak and share is huge.

Having a committed group of people who actually enjoy and find value in hearing you speak and share is the best asset you can have in these crazy times.

Think about it.

Welcome to autocomplete culture.
Everyone has content.
Almost nobody has a thought of their own.

I guess businesses now need thinkers more than doers for the first time ever.

Last night I was sitting in a room in Split listening to Senad Šantić explain how he built a 100+ person agency almost entirely through LinkedIn.
No paid ads. No cold email blasts. Just consistent social selling that turned an audience into a client pipeline worth millions.
The thing Senad said that stuck with me: he's a software engineer by training. Selling didn't come naturally. But he realized that building a great product and having no one know about it is the same as not building it at all.

Trusted professional audiences (newsletters, LinkedIn, podcasts, communities) aren't just "content." They're distribution assets with real commercial value.
B2B companies are finally waking up to this. The smart ones stopped throwing money at LinkedIn ads and started finding real people who already have the room warmed up for them.

Big thanks to Senad Šantić and from the tech.coffee Split community. This is exactly why I love living and building in Split.
