The truth about Habesha Spice is simple: Nolawi and I are both 50% owners, as clearly outlined in our official Operating Agreement.
Hundreds of people have followed this journey from Day 1. You watched me build this brand from the ground up — developing products, packing spices, marketing, advertising, investing, and pouring my heart and soul into every step of the process. My social media is a digital timeline of years of dedication and hard work. Those are not opinions — they are facts.
What I would never do is go behind my partner’s back and claim sole ownership, disregarding the other 50% owner. Legal documents matter. Agreements matter. Integrity matters.
Over the past two years since relocating to Florida from Puerto Rico after selling Table Spice, we discussed expansion plans — farmers markets, warehouse research, restaurant concepts, and long-term growth strategies. Despite personal and professional challenges, I remained committed to the vision we created together.
Unfortunately, recent events have brought serious concerns to light. Decisions were made behind my back that directly impact our company. Attempts were made to alter legal filings without my knowledge. That is not only unethical — it is unacceptable.
Last month, on the 20th, there was an attempt to change the LLC structure. Once I became aware and addressed it, the legal company corrected the amendment and restored the documents to their original format. The pages I posted reflect that correction.
Let me be clear: forging someone’s name or attempting to remove a legal partner without consent is fraudulent and carries serious consequences.
This situation did not arise from business strategy — it arose from outside influence and poor decision-making. I have always operated with loyalty, transparency, and integrity. I stood by my partner through thick and thin. I never imagined I would have to defend my rightful place in a company I helped create.
I am speaking out because this is my business too. What has been presented publicly does not reflect the legal reality.
Habesha Spice deserves stability, honesty, and leadership rooted in truth. Until matters are handled properly and respectfully, the company will remain on shaky ground.
I believe in accountability. I believe in honoring agreements. And I believe that what is done in the dark always comes to light.
