My Aunt Pam is a librarian, and she and I have shared books for years.
When I was growing up, I spent weeks at a time at her house during the summer, and many of those days included trips to the library. Looking back, I suspect a good portion of my lifelong love of reading can be traced back to those afternoons spent wandering the stacks and leaving with an armful of books.
Recently, I finished *Do What Godmother Says* by L.S. Stratton and immediately thought, "Pam would love this book!"
As I packed it up to send to her for her birthday, I somehow found myself digging through fabric, ribbons, and a box of old buttons to create a matching bookmark inspired by the cover.
The full story—including the button box my aunt gave me years ago—is now on the blog.

And thank you to Shelly Ellis/Shelly Stratton for writing a story that not only kept me turning pages long after bedtime, well past midnight, and feeling all the feels, but inspired handmade bookmarks, family memories, old library stories, and an addiction to your work.
