Just as it is said, it takes a village to raise a child. It's true for so many other things in life too. Without a team, a support system and a constant help from a number of our own people, dreams can't be materialised as we want. Teen Dabbay was a baby too and it took an entire village to raise it to a point where it is now. Without a fancy shwency PR team, in the absence of any hefty sponsors and with bare minimum resources, Teen Dabbay has made space in many hearts.
The whole structure of Teen dabbay stands up on the shoulder of some very important people of my life. My sister, Whom I call didi has pulled off all the pop-ups in Pakistan, including the commons Karachi. She does that with an extremely hectic job and a extremely energetic child. My father, baba who makes sure both of them aren't unaccompanied and ensures he enjoys all that his daughters do.
Above all Razaan, who is one in billions and makes sure Teen Dabbay doesn't have even a single dull moment. Tabish, who makes sure all the inventory is kept safe, sorted and tagged.

When we were kids There was a store around the corner. Every 90's neighborhood highlight.
Nobody knew the store name but yes everyone knew the name of the Uncle who owned it, Ikram bhai. Hence, it became Ikram ki dukan and everyone called it that only .
The money form pocket money and Eidis had to be spent at that shop because it was heaven.
You name the junk and it was there. Sweet, divine most treasured junk!
Starting from Puk to top pops you would get it all.
The sweetness of BP spacer candy, the snickers of 90's kids, 'candy land ki chocolate now', the bitterness of 'super sour', the excitement of finding your own name in 'bubble your name', the smarties copy that we got in a pack shaped like number, the 'go go' and 'Naz pan masala'
Every taste still etched in my brain. Every feeling preserved in my nostalgia.

This is me for the past 10 days just attach a toddler to my knees with her million questions and constant demands of pretend play.
The allergies are really acting up and nothing seems to work.
